The author of the books, Nigel Barraclough, is a Registered Paramedic and a First Aid Instructor. Working from the busiest ambulance stations in the country has given him lots of valuable first hand experience, which he has used when writing his first aid books.
Nigel was a keen first aider before he became a Paramedic, and soon started teaching first aid when he joined the Ambulance Service. Nigel now has his own first aid training company with several instructors, training thousands of first aiders every year.
His Paramedic experience, his knowledge of ‘how we learn' and of course teaching first aid for a living, have enabled him to produce first aid books that are accurate, up-to-date and describe medical concepts in a very ‘easy to understand' way.
